I grew up on a timeshare resort in northern Minnesota. I always had a love for the great cold sea that is Lake Superior. I always dreamed of a life exploring the real ocean. Eventually I got my chance when I was accepted to the University of Hawaii where I wanted to become a marine biologist. As it turns out, I wasn’t very good at the biology part. After 4 years in paradise there was no way I was heading back to the frigid winters of the north country. Falling back of what knowledge I had absorbed of the family business when I was young, I got into the timeshare biz. I started doing marketing for local timeshare to people in the mainland. Sales came easy in paradise. Twenty years later I had sold out multiple developments of my own and had become more successful than I could have imagined.
